HOW IT WORKS
Interior Design and Project Management

Dream It
It all begins with a phone call or email, which generally results in a site visit. Jennifer starts with a lot of listening and noticing. She assesses your space, gets a sense of your style, hears the problems you are trying to solve and  then offers constructive feedback.

Visualize It
Jennifer uses 3-dimensional drawings to clearly communicate the transformation of your space. She will help you isolate your design style, will work with you to procure the appropriate materials, communicate your needs clearly to building professionals, and will help you monitor your budget and your schedule. You will be well prepared for each step of the construction process because of the decisions you have made in advance together. She will translate your needs into clear steps so you have a detailed understanding of the style, timing and budget of your project.

Build It
The first step of the construction process is to obtain estimates for your project. Jennifer creates a Scope of Work document which carefully outlines the elements so your estimates are as accurate as possible. As the project goes into production, she prepares Construction Documents which further detail the design specifications, and conducts frequent site checks to answer questions and keep your project on track.

Jennifer is detail oriented and a straight shooter. She has a proven reputation with her clients, but also with local builders, tradespeople and vendors who appreciate the solid design and organization that she brings to her projects.

HOW IT WORKS
Color Consultations and Paint Plans

Paint it
In general, color consulting takes two visits. The first visit is to see the space, get to know your style, and determine your goals. During the second visit, color solutions are proposed and fine-tuned with large scale paint swatches. At the end of the process you will have a paint plan complete with paint chips and everything your painter or contractor will need. Sometimes subsequent visits are scheduled to review work in progress or to address last-minute concerns.

What People Are Saying

“Jennifer is able to understand what you're looking for, add great design ideas, generate drawings and other visuals to review and get your project completed. She's helped us through a large addition to a 1900 home which included a kitchen reconfiguration with custom cabinetry, office, mudroom, bedroom, living room and bathroom built-ins, consults on fixture and tile selection and a paint color plan for the entire house. We would not be nearly as happy with our addition if it wasn't for Jennifer's advice and support through this project.”

“Jennifer delivered magnificently!  The final product exceeded all my expectations and continues to do so.   I love her creativity and talent, her passion and excitement for what she does - and her ability to come up with original ideas, not cookie-cutter designs.”

“Jen never applied a formula to the job. Every detail mattered, had to be right for the specific property she was renovating and it had to be right for the location. If there were views to see, her designs took in every angle; if there was a tree to save her plans would include saving it. She cares. Jen is a truly talented professional and it's been a pleasure working with her.”
